CROMBIE John Crombie, aged 88, a resident of Newtyle, died on Saturday, November 18, 2017, peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 4, 1929, in Aberdeen, to John and Margaret (Milne) Crombie. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, brother, Gordon, sons, John and Brian, daughters- in-law, Pamela and Ting, granddaughters, Kimberly, Asta, Katherine, Kirstie, Leigh-Anne and Lin Qian, great-grandchildren, Levi and Lyle, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. When not touring the world, John and Margaret would explore the countryside closer to home with one of their beloved boxer dogs and there is hardly a bonnie spot anywhere in Scotland where they have not trod. A small ceremony will take place at Dundee Crematorium on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 10.15 a.m., followed by a memorial service in Newtyle Parish Church, at 11.30 a.m., to which all friends are invited. Following the memorial service, refreshments will be served at The Strathmore Arms, in Glamis, from approximately 12.45 p.m. Donations in John's memory may be made to the R. S. P. C. A.
