Killed in action 100 years ago, on May 27, 1918, age 30, while serving in Royal Engineers 490th Field Coy. Service No: 404318. Remembered with honour at Sissonne British Cemetery, Northern France. Grave Reference: K.7. Brother of Margaret Vannet Campbell, Donald Bruce Campbell and Frederick Roberts Campbell. Half-brother of William, Sarah, John, James, Annie, Mary, Helen, Archibald and Thomas Campbell.-Inserted on behalf of the Wilson, Campbell and Russell families.
