MUNRO Major Alexander John Munro, MBE, TD, Alastair (AJ), Blair Atholl, husband of the late Molly (ex-Royal Artillery, 19th Div. Indian Army, Lovat Scouts and Atholl Estates), passed away peacefully on September 1, 2016, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A wonderful courageous inspirational friend and mentor to all who were fortunate to know him. A gentleman and hero to the end. He will leave a great void in many lives. A service to celebrate his life will take place in Blair Atholl Church of Scotland on Tuesday, September 13, at 10.30 a.m., to which all are invited. Family flowers only, but if desired, a collection will go to S.S.A.F.A. and Help the Heroes in his name. A private cremation will follow.
