WHITE Following the sudden death of Alan at the I. C. U. Ninewells Hospital, Mary and the family would like to thank friends and neighbours for the cards, letters, beautiful flowers, kind thoughts, phone calls and home baking; a big thank you to all of Alan's colleagues at all the clubs of which he had been a member of for many years, everyone's kindness was very much appreciated; thanks to the Acute Medical Unit and Intensive Care at Ninewells Hospital, to all the nurses, Mr Smith and Doctor Mellor who were so kind to the family; thanks also to the Rev. Maggie Hunt for her comfort and support and for her lovely service which was dedicated to Alan, Kenny Ross and staff at Strathmore Funeral Directors, who were a great help at this difficult time; finally thanks to all who attended the funeral service and the interment and for the generous donations £1,937.00 was collected for the I. C. U. Ward at Ninewells Hospital.
