HOLMES Suddenly, but peacefully, in his sleep at home, on Thursday, September 14, 2017, aged 68 years, Alan, dearly beloved husband of Trea, loving son to Sophia and the late Norrie Holmes, devoted father to Andrew, David and Jamie and a loved father-in-law of Lucy, Becky and Laura, besotted grandad of Rosie, Bella, Caitlin and Abby. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Ian and Eric, and by his wider family and many friends. His memorial service will take place at Largo & Newburn Parish Church, Upper Largo on Friday, September 29, at 11.15 a.m., to which all family and friends are invited. Family flowers only, please, but charitable donations to Prostate Cancer U. K. may be given on leaving the church.
