LUCKS Frances Lucks R. N., 1934-2017. On Saturday, November 18, 2017, Frances succumbed to her neuro-degenerative disease, after a prolonged course at Kipling Acres in Toronto, Canada. She was predeceased by her parents August and Helen and her brother Arnold. She is survived by her brother Stanley (Lynn) in the United States and sister-in-law Moya in Vancouver, as well as nieces and nephews in the U. S. A. and Canada. She will be missed by her dear cousins Ray Moran, Peter Moran and Margaret Anton in Blairgowrie. She was a dear friend to Loraine and Tom Martell and Rose-Marie and Ihor Popadynec in Toronto. Frances travelled extensively around the world in her younger years and nursed in Scotland, Germany, Vancouver, Canora Saskatchewan, in Hamilton, and retired as a surgical floor supervisor at the Humber Memorial Hospital in Toronto, Canada. She then spent many happy years in retirement between her home in Brampton, Ontario, and winters in Palm Springs. She had a bright and bubbly personality and made friends so easily wherever she went. Many thanks to the nursing staff at Kipling Acres and her personal support worker Leslie Aguilar for their considerate care throughout her illness. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass in St Catharine's Church, Blairgowrie, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 10 a.m., interment of cremated remains thereafter in Blairgowrie Cemetery, to which all family and friends are invited.
