DAVIDSON James (Jim) Cardwell Davidson, 1925-2019, born in Dundee, on April 11, 1925, died at Monkbarns Care Home, Arbroath, on February 21, 2019, beloved husband of Nan (nee Irvine) (deceased) and father to Jimmy, John, Irvine, Bruce and Stewart. Following a short spell with James Aimer Coffee Roasters, he joined the R. A. F. in 1942 and served in 18(B) Sqn. Bomber Command until the end of World War II. On return to civilian life, in 1949, he married Nan in 1950 and settled into a job with D. C. Thomson, Dundee and remained there until his retirement in 1990, after short spells in Dundee, they settled in Tayport, Fife, playing an active part in community life. He is survived by his five sons, daughters-in-law, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service in Dundee Crematorium, on Thursday, March 7, at 3.30 p.m., to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please.

Jim was a wonderful man - a grandfather to my children and second father to me.
