HENDERSON George Henderson, at Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee, on March 22, 2016, after a long life, aged 103 years, dearly loved husband of the late Ethel (nee Birmingham), much loved dad of Ian and the late Linda, member of Balgay Bowling Club and Dundee Indoor Bowling Club. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service at Dundee Crematorium on Wednesday, April 6, at 12.30 p.m., all family and friends welcome. No flowers, please, but donations may be given for Princess Royal Trust. Thanks to staff at Royal Victoria Hospital for excellent care he received. Dad was still dancing at 100 years old.

I was George's GP with Professor Knox in 1979, when he and MrS Henderson agreed to participate in my study to ascertain whether we could predict how long people were going to live by measuring the behaviour of their white blood cells. He was the last surviving member of the 405 people enrolled in the study. He was a remarkable man.
