SHEPHERD Peacefully, at home, with his sons by his side, on Sunday, January 13, 2019, Mike, aged 61 years, beloved dad and grandad. Will be greatly missed. Service will be held at Kirkcaldy Crematorium, on Thursday, January 31, at 10.15 a.m., to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please but donations may be given in lieu for R. S. P. B. at the Crematorium.

So sorry to hear about Mike passing away. I only found out today (12/02/19) otherwise I would have been at the funeral to pay my respects.
We worked together at Rolls-Royce Marine as service engineers for 20 odd years. We started about the same time and got our redundancy at the same time as well.
I remember us working in Venice drydock together not long after Mike's wife died and every time he took a photo, it was full of orbs (which I'd never heard of before) but he said it was his wife and it gave him great comfort.
Rest In Peace mate. You'll be sorely missed.
