HUGHES Peacefully, with dignity and courage, at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Ernest (Ernie) Thomas Hughes, of Carnoustie, a much loved husband and best friend of Irene and father of Owen, a much loved uncle, granddad and friend to many. Interment in Shanwell Cemetery, on Monday, February 18, at 11.30 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life, in Carnoustie Golf Hotel, at 12.15 p.m. All friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please, but donations can be given at the service for the S.S.P.C.A., the charity close to Ernie’s heart.
