KERR Peggy, born November 14, 1920, died peacefully at Ninewells Hospital on Friday, February 14, 2020, aged 99 years. Much loved wife of the late Alex (Eck), dear mum and pal of son, Ian and loving sister to Alex, Carrie, resident of New Zealand. Many thanks are offered to Dr. Peter Slane and team (Erskine Practice) and Dr. Neil Gillespie and team (Royal Victoria Hospital Day Clinic) for their unswerving dedication and professionalism which enabled Peggy to enjoy a full, fruitful and long life in good health. This zest for life was recently and readily seen on her 99th birthday, when she insisted the only present she wished was the renewal of her bus pass. This was duly delivered. Peggy attended Tay Street Primary School and Logie Central Secondary School. As a teenager, each week along with her best friend and future sister-in-law, the late Jessie Lonie (Kerr), she attended Scottish Country Dancing on a Tuesday, with the highlight being their Saturday night adventure to the Cinerama. Her wide, varied and gainful employment, spanning over 60 years, included box designer at Keillers, WWII munitions assembler, manageress of Kosto, newsagent (Lochee) and, most lately, but not least, assistant in her niece Condra's card shop in Forfar. Each of these challenges was tackled with dexterity and enthusiasm. Always happy to serve, but never servile. Peggy always wished to sign off with her favourite and inimitable saying "TTFN" (ta ta for now). Private funeral.
