CALDERWOOD Alan Howie Robertson, passed away peacefully, in the Cornhill Macmillan Centre, Perth, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, age 88, after a long illness, a graduate of both Glasgow and St Andrew's Universities, he served as an R.A.F. officer before becoming a teacher at Perth Academy and then an education officer, working in Inverness-shire, Peebles-shire, the London Borough of Hillingdon and the county of Cleveland. He was a devoted fan of Scottish rugby, a staunch Rotarian and member of the congregation of St Leonard's, the husband of Elaine, father to Jennifer and Chris and grandfather to Alexa, James, Matt, Natasha, Ellie, Sophie and Max. Alan will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by family and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, his private burial will be restricted to close family only. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. No flowers, please, but donations can be made to the Tayside Health Fund, Cornhill Macmillan Centre, c/o James McEwan Funeral Directors, 52 George Street, Perth, PH1 5JL. Tel: 01738 625362.
