MAY Peacefully, and with dignity, on Friday, July 30, 2021, after a long illness bravely borne, with family by his side, John May (79), a loving and much loved husband and friend to Pat, devoted and proud dad to Shona and Andrew, dear father-in-law of Dave and Debbie, adoring and adored grandfather of Ramsay, Caitlin, Barclay, Corinna and Connell, loving son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, teacher and friend to many. Funeral service to be held at midday (12 noon), on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Strathmore Funeral Directors, Service Room, Robert Street, Forfar, followed by interment at Newmonthill Cemetery, Forfar, at 1 p.m. On departing Strathmore Funeral Directors, the funeral cortege will proceed up (north) North Street to Station Park football ground, the cortege will then continue on to Cunninghill Golf Club (via North Street and Arbroath Road), before making its way to Newmonthill Cemetery, where all are welcome to attend a short graveside service. Respects can also be paid enroute as the cortege travels to John's final resting place. Sincere gratitude to everyone at Balhousie Care Home, Coupar Angus, for all their care and devotion.
