McGAVOCK Peacefully, on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, following a brave battle against declining health and spending his last days surrounded by his loving family, William Rainey (Ray), devoted husband to Lindsay, ever-loving father of Karen and Christopher, much loved brother of Ann and the late Hugh, a cherished uncle, great-uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, respected Community Education colleague, proud Black Watch officer, and wonderful friend to many, who was deeply loved and who will be very much missed. A service of thanksgiving for Ray's life will take place at Parkgrove Crematorium, Friockheim, Angus, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1.30 p.m., to which all friends and family are respectfully and warmly invited. Family flowers only, please, but donations will be gratefully received at the Crematorium for the University of Dundee's Parkinson's Research Campaign and SSAFA, the Army Forces' charity.
