NOLAN Peacefully, in Queen Margaret Hospice, on Monday, June 20, 2022, John Patrick, aged 72 years (formerly Head of German at St Columbus School, Dunfermline, for over 33 years, teacher of German at Strathallan School, Perth and most recently, teacher of German at the High School of Dundee), John was a loving and devoted husband and best friend to Trish for over 43 years, John was a proud and precious dad to Louise, Liam and Rosaleen and a loving and caring "Opa" to his 3 grandchildren, Ava-Violet, Alfie and Amity, John also enjoyed the warmth and love of Barrie his son-in-law and Catherine his daughter-in-law, he was a treasured brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a much loved loyal friend to many. He leaves behind many colleagues who became also very trusted and loyal friends. His passing is felt by the hundreds of pupils he taught and inspired during his 51 years of teaching. John was a kind and dedicated family man who lived life with love, enthusiasm and positivity. In keeping with his wishes, to always remain close to his Oakley roots, his funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 12.30 p.m., in Holy Name Church, Oakley, with interment thereafter in Culross Cemetery at 1.30 p.m., all relatives, friends and colleagues are respectfully invited to join us, John's family, to celebrate his life. Family flowers only, please, but donations in lieu, if desired, to may be made at the church in aid of Queen Margaret Hospice and Maggie's Centre, Kirkcaldy.
