HAWKSFORD Guy Philip On September 9, 2022, at Ninewells, aged 77, beloved husband of Morna, dad to Nicola, Isla and the late Hilary, grampy to Eleanor, Euan and Fraser (former P.T. of Physics at Kinross High). Funeral on Monday, September 26, at 1.15 p.m., at Dunfermline Crematorium. Donations, instead of flowers, to Maggies Centre, Dundee.

You were one of a kind. Unique and someone very special. It was a privilege to know you for these last ten years or so. I will miss your stories of your incredible adventures and your kindly advice and so much more. When we spoke the evening before it happened, I felt then you knew. Sleep well now and may your dreams be sweet.

I first met Guy in the Kinross scouts with his model plane building club, his passion to teach and pass on skill, both practical and theory shone through. I was later on very fortunate to have Guy as a physics teacher. His breadth and depth of knowledge backed by his keen engineers eye and story telling (who can ever forget his phrase 'beautiful brass bits') lead to a whole cohort of students who left school with a solid understanding of physics and engineering and many followed up with strong professional careers with the foundation firmly anchored in Guys lessons. After I moved away from Kinross we stayed in touch and I'd drop by every time I was in the area, you'd be greeted with a a smile, a cup of tea and a tour of the latest workshop projects. Thank you Guy, you have really made a positive impact on so many people in so many ways,
