CLARK Peacefully, at Pitkerro Care Centre, in Dundee, on Monday, June 26, 2023, Mabel (formerly Portmore Place, Dundee), much loved daughter of the late Mary B. and David Rose Clark, of Dounduff, Darnaway, loving sister of Marjorie Houseman also a dear aunt and good friend. Funeral service at Dundee Crematorium, on Tuesday, July 11 at 1.30 p.m., to which all friends are most welcome. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, may be given in aid of the Pitkerro Care Centre Comfort Fund at the Crematorium.

I have know Mabel since her time in Chelmsford. 1963 onwards .
Then she came to the DIT in Dundee in about 1980. She was a quiet girl but had strong opinions on some matters like religion and family, especially her father’s memory. She took pride in that her registration for her car was DRO777K ,if my memory is correct. Since I retired in 1993 I lost contact and was told that she had left the DIT. Due to a recent chance meeting with a former colleague, I learnt that she was at Pitkerro Home and tried to contact her only to learn that shad passed away about a week earlier. I hope she had a reasonable life in the Home. Thank the staff there for their help.
