THOMSON James Charles Bell KLJ, in his 101st year, of Comrie, Perthshire (formerly World Alliance of Y.M.C.A.'s Executive Secretary for Refugees and Rehabilitation), passed away peacefully in the tender care of the nursing staff of Crieff Community Hospital, on Friday, December 1, 2023, dearly beloved husband of the late Mary, much loved father of Margaret, Rosemary, James and the late Roderick, greatly respected father-in-law of Adam and Jacky, special grampie to his five grandchildren and lovingly known as 'grandpa coffee' to his eight great-grandchildren, great friend to many across the globe and sadly missed elder of Comrie Parish Church. Funeral service, to which all who knew Jim are respectfully invited, at Perth Crematorium, on Wednesday, December 13, at 2 p.m. No flowers, please. The family welcomes donations at the Crematorium and online, in aid of The Bangkok Y.M.C.A.'s Children's Home. A service of thanksgiving, in celebration of Jim's life, will be held later within Comrie Parish Church, service details to follow.
