CHRISTIE Violet Elizabeth After a prolonged illness, borne with courage and grace, it is with great sadness that the family announce that Violet Elizabeth Christie (nee Brown), aged 85 years, passed away, peacefully, on December 9, 2023, at Orchardhead House, Rosyth; Violet was well known in Dunfermline and surrounding areas as the proprietor of Christies School of Motoring which she ran for over 30 years, alongside her passion for curling, equestrian sport, and fashion, Violet will be greatly missed by her son Sandy, grandchildren Alex and Zara, daughter-in-law Catriona, as well as family and friends. Funeral service and celebration of her life is on Thursday, December 21, at 2.45 p.m., at Dunfermline Crematorium, and afterwards at the Pitbauchlie House Hotel, to which family and friends are invited. As Violet was known for her love of fashion, the family respectfully request that you wear something colourful. Family flowers only, please, however there will be an opportunity to leave a donation to Parkinson's U.K. in Scotland on Violet's behalf.
