GUILD Peacefully, in her sleep, aged 80 years, on Friday, February 2, 2024, after a lengthy illness, Maureen Elizabeth Guild, beloved wife of Ken and mother of Gillian, mother-in-law of Adrian, cherished grannie to Sasha and Alysha. Born Solihull, April 14, 1943, to a Polish cavalryman and a Welsh/Irish mother she was adopted and lovingly raised in Dundee by the late Mr and Mrs Mcluskey. She was Dux of St John's before a career as a primary school teacher, latterly at Forthill. She enjoyed socialising, was a hillwalker, gardener, recreational bridge player and SNP activist. The family are grateful to the staff of Lochleven Care Home for their compassion and expertise. Funeral at the premises of William Purves Funeral Directors, 175 King Street, Broughty Ferry, at 1.30 p.m., on Monday, February 12. No flowers, please. Donations to Alzheimer Scotland much appreciated.
