DUFF Ruby (née Gilhooley) Gone from us, peacefully, Robina (Ruby) Duff, aged 95, slipped away, on October 17, 2024, at her home, in Charterhouse, Kinoull Causeway, Perth, as she wished. Born March 4, 1929, in Edinburgh, she married first James Ward of Kirkcaldy in 1947 and bore him a son and three daughters. After an annulment, she married James Duff in 1977, who pre-deceased her in 1995. She will enter St John's R.C. Church, Perth, on Monday, November 4, at 5 p.m., and a short service will follow. The Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday, November 5, at 10 a.m. Family and friends will provide a fitting farewell with hymns she has chosen. Family flowers only, please, as donations for Ruby's favourite charity, HCPT 650 W.I., for sick children to go to Lourdes, can be made at the rear of the church. For this charity work, supported by friends, family and the Union of Catholic Mothers, she was honoured by a Papal Blessing from Pope Francis on March 4, 2019, her 90th birthday. We will miss her laughter and loving care.
