BANKS Peacefully, at Roxburghe House, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, Les, much adored husband of Meriel, loving dad of Rory, loved father-in-law of Rachael, cherished dadda to Rosie and Adam. Funeral service at Sturrock, Comb & Davidson, 102 St Vincent Street, Broughty Ferry, DD5 2EY, on Wednesday, February 19, at 1.30 p.m., to which all friends and family are invited. Family flowers only, please, but donations can be made to Roxburghe House Comfort Fund.

I worked with Les on waterfront and other projects Very clever guy who was innovative and thought out of the box We used to bounce everything around Nothing was impossible for his ideas Great times Special person he inspired me many times I’ll miss him although we lost touch a bit I will miss him and remember with a great fondness Love to all his family One of the good guys ❤️

From a distance in time and geography, I reflect on Les, who was a classmate at Penicuik High School, almost sixty years ago. He was a great friend with an outstanding character that we could all admire. Sad to say we lost touch over the years, but my memories of him are still strong.
