OPPLIGER (Mary) Ellen Oppliger (nee Archer), born November 18, 1930, in Edinburgh, Ellen gently passed, on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in her own home, where she wanted to be, in her 91st year, Fred's loving and constant companion, till death parted them, dearest mother of her adored Eric, till death took him, shockingly, at only 46, happy cousin of Margaret, Billy, Lily, and Willie and his daughters, Mary-Ann, Barbara and Frances, cherished niece of Maggie, Betty, Jeannie, May, Sammy and Hance and treasured daughter of Marion and Robert (Bob), beloved sister-in-law to Rosalie and Rod, aunt to Fraser and Morag, great-aunt to Memphis and Trinity, Kelsey, Alayna and Tahlee, willing helper and friend to so many, here and in Australia, hospitable and entertaining hostess, she loved people, enjoyed laughter, was a great cook, and peppered her conversation with witticisms, most appreciative of help, keen gardener, enthusiastic keep-fitter, lover of scenery, countryside, dogs, horses, and all other animals, kind, unselfish, wise and cheeky, she was ready to go, but will be sadly missed. Funeral at Perth Crematorium, on Thursday, October 14, at 10.30 a.m., and thereafter at The Huntingtower Hotel, for nibbles and blethers.
