NEWTON Robert (Bob) A Life Celebrated It is with deep sadness, that we announce, the peaceful passing, of Robert Newton, affectionately known as Bob, on Monday, May 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his cherished Newton Hotel, Bob was a devoted husband and a dear friend to Joyce, he will be forever remembered as a loving father to Eliza, Rob, Geoff, Lucy, Vicky, Rick, Dave, and Debs, he adored his grandchildren and took great pride in being a great-grandfather, Bob also shared a close bond with his sisters, Phyllis and Angela, and was a caring father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. He spent the last 50 years pursuing his passion at the Newton Hotel. The family wish to commemorate his life rather than mourn his passing. We cordially invite those who wish to join us in celebrating Bob's life at a church service, at The United Parish Church, Kirriemuir, at 1 p.m., on June 9. Alternatively, a service will also take place at The Parkgrove Crematorium, at 2.30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to honour Bob's memory. Contributions will be received on behalf of the Kirriemuir District Nurses Fun Day, Isla Ward Staff at Whitehills Hospital for their exceptional care, the Stroke Association, Prostate Cancer Research and Angus Cats Protection.
