BEATTIE Peacefully, on August 8, 2023, at Finavon Care Home, Forfar, Lt Colonel Frederick (Fred) Beattie M.B.E. The Black Watch (formerly of Arbroath), beloved husband of Olive, a loving brother of Dorothy, uncle and a friend to many who will be sadly missed. A celebration of Fred's life will take place at midday, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the West Kirk, Arbroath and thereafter to the Eastern Cemetery, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please, but donations in lieu will be gratefully accepted on the day for The Black Watch Association.
